Day 7 – Interrupted Inhalations (Viloma 1)

Vi means ‘negation’ or ‘against.’ Loma means ‘hair’ or ‘grain.’ So, viloma means ‘against the grain.’ This pranayama pauses ujjayi breath on the inhale once or twice. This heightens breath awareness and improves breath control. It also emphasizes the power of taking in or receiving.
