Unlocking abundance to an infinite storehouse of possibilities is already within your reach. Don’t hesitate or second guess the impulse to treat yourself. For the impetus of those urges are Divine Miracles, awaiting the invitation to shower you with blessings.
I recall once enjoying a beautiful dinner with a friend. We were debating whether or not to splurge on another course. As we did “the should we or shouldn’t we tango,” I said to my companion, “What’s your hesitation? Are you concerned about spending too much money tonight, or are you debating whether or not it’s worth it?” She looked me square in the eyes and said “Oh, I always think I’m worth it.”
At that moment I caught myself. I heard the fearful whisper of scarcity clouding the perspective of my ask. I heard the limiting follow-up commentary to my heart’s wishes – “Denise, you want, but can you really have? Can you afford to receive everything you want?” I realized that I was habitually extinguishing my dreams in both minuscule and massive ways.
My friend’s soulful dance with abundance inspired me to reevaluate my relationship with money. Apparently that relationship was due for a renewing of vows…
I could further flood this conversation with “aha moments” I have experienced by myself and with my community. Like that time I was gifted a free living space in Culver City for a year. Or the Jeep Cheroke, a friend generously let me borrow for six months. Or the countless gifts, meals, trips and animals I’ve been given throughout the years…I could go on. I’ve surely been surrounded by successful, selfless, and caring people. From a cerebral stand point, I could intellectualize the benefits of an “Abundance Mentality,” but I know that’s only a fraction of the work. Understanding without adaptation is impotent. That’s right. This is one of those journeys that are short in physical proximity, but a vast pilgrimage in transcendence from the calculated mind to the whimsical heart.
You see, I was stuck in a limiting belief system that convinced me I could only receive blessings through other people. The experience of growing up in South Central L.A., under the care of a single mother who worked 2-3 jobs at a time just to make ends meet, left me with a lack mentality that I carried into adulthood.
I knew I needed to shed my dependency coat and set clear intentions to do so. A worthiness makeover helped me step into my Abundance Perspective. Vision boarding, journaling affirmations, and circling prayers have helped me shift into my new reality. Discovering that I could go straight to the source was a game changer for me.
Live your life untethered to limiting beliefs. Mind/Heart-craft the life you desire; one breath, one dream, one choice at a time.
I’m debt free, all of my bills are paid on time or ahead of time, I am able to continue my education and investments in my career, I have savings, I’m able to indulge in adventures and have financial peace. My relationship make-over with money has relieved stress and afforded me the luxury to manifest my dreams into fruition. Growth Potential, from the root of abundance is truly infinite. The storehouse is full y’all! And you have the key. Use it.
