This invigorating 60-minute power yoga practice will leave you sweetly fatigued with more mobility, flexibility and strength in your body. With a focus on shoulders & hips, explore an athletic flow paving the way to Vashistasana, Pigeon Chair & DragonFly.
Super fun skills class. Denise offers & encourages modifications throughout the warmup and Sun B flows making the class accessible for beginner to intermediate yogis. It truly is an all-levels flow so it is unfortunate it is listed as “advanced;” a designation which likely turns some yogis away. I suspect the “advanced” designation is due to the number of side planks (which, again, can be done with beginner-level modifications) and the peak pose of flying grasshopper. Admittedly, flying grasshopper is an advanced pose, but beginner-level yogis definitely benefit by moving into and understanding the shape; eventually time and effort will fully move them into the peak pose. IMO an advanced class consists of one or more flows containing difficult asanas & tricky transitions. Denise’s “Shoulder Hippy” contains simple asanas and simple transitions with an advanced peak pose. Overall great class. Hope to see more skills classes like this one on innerdimensiontv.
