Brittany Rouse

Brittany Rouse is a Yoga Alliance-certified RYT 500 yoga teacher, meditation guide and sound bath practitioner. She leads practices at some of the most prominent companies of Silicon Beach, teaches private and studio classes in Los Angeles and leads international yoga and meditation retreats. She guides her classes with creative, intelligent sequencing with the intention of cultivating present-moment awareness to invite balance and a deep sense of calm to her students. Brittany strives to share her light with the world and encourages others to do the same.

“Moderation and mindfulness are very important to me – I believe that integrating yoga and meditation into your daily wellness habits helps to cultivate a holistic foundation for a happy and balanced life.

I stepped into my first yoga class in 2005 and my passion for the practice of asana and meditation has since grown into a lifestyle. Ever since starting a regular yoga practice, I have found it easier to stay present, laugh (a lot) and enjoy beauty in the world around me. I believe yoga and meditation is a journey that is very personal to the practicing individual. We all have different bodies and what might feel amazing to one student can cause discomfort for another. I encourage my students to listen to the guidance of their intuition and practice for the bodies they have in this moment.

Life can get pretty serious but the time we spend on our mat doesn’t have to be. I bring a light-hearted sense of playfulness and ease to my instruction, providing a space for my students to face physically challenging asanas with an adventurous spirit but also encouraging them to know when it’s time for their bodies to rest. In my classes, I emphasize the idea that practice makes progress, not perfect. Yoga isn’t just about crazy inversions and burning an incredible amount of calories – it’s about what you can learn from your physical practice and what you take with you when you step off of the mat and return to your daily life.

I take a holistic approach to teaching, focusing on creative, intelligent sequencing while integrating pranayama, meditation, intention setting and inspiring themes. I specialize in teaching physically challenging Power Vinyasa Flow classes, in addition to nourishing Restorative, Yin & Gentle Yoga practices. I also teach Guided Visualization Meditation, Moving Meditation, Body Scan Meditation & breathwork techniques. My purpose, as an instructor, is to guide my students through safe and fun alignment-based classes with the intention of cultivating peace, happiness and balance.
